Hand-Painted Terracotta Tiles
A wall that holds its colour without asking for attention.
Gloss that catches light the way a painted surface should. Cobalt, ochre, white — each tile its own version of the same tone. Calm and deliberate. Made to last in rooms that are used.
Hand-painted earthenware for kitchens, bathrooms, and walls worth looking at.
Terracotta carries the memory of the earth it comes from. Ochres, soft whites, mineral greys and clay-rich tones emerge through the firing process, each surface holding subtle variations in colour and texture.
Painted by hand and glazed individually, no two tiles are exactly alike. The differences are slight, but they give the wall a depth that machine-made surfaces rarely achieve.
Designed for kitchens, bathrooms and interiors that value material honesty, these tiles bring warmth without excess. The palette is restrained, drawn from natural pigments and landscapes rather than trends.
Over large surfaces they create a quiet continuity, allowing light, texture and craftsmanship to become the focus of the room.
Each tile is 1.5 cm thick. Thicker in profile than Brushstroke Designs, with a more rustic finish.
Available in 15 × 15 cm and 13 × 15 cm. Bespoke sizes on request at team@cardoonstudio.com.
No two tiles carry the same tone. That is not a flaw. It is the point.
