Description
The bowl for a slower morning. Matcha whisked by hand, tea poured while it is still hot, both hands wrapped around the warmth.
Handmade in Spain, each matcha bowl is individually formed and finished with a flowing green glaze over natural stoneware. The glaze moves differently through every firing, creating variations in green, cream and mineral tones. No two bowls are identical.
Its compact, handleless form sits naturally between both hands and is designed for matcha, green tea and other warm drinks. The softly irregular surface and visible variations are part of the making process rather than imperfections to be hidden.
Made in small batches by independent ceramic makers, the Canopy brings together a simple contemporary form with the character of handmade ceramics.
Available as a set of 2 or 4 handmade matcha bowls. Pair with our handmade mugs and cups or explore our wider handmade ceramic bowls collection.

MADE FOR EVERYDAY USE.
Small bowls designed to earn their place on the table. For olives, dips, nuts and small bites; substantial in the hand, useful beyond a single occasion, and made to be used often.
PAINTED & GLAZED ONE BY ONE.
Each bowl is shaped, painted and glazed by hand. Brushstrokes, glaze movement and subtle variations remain visible, so no two pieces have exactly the same surface or character.
ROOTED IN VALENCIA.
Made in small batches by specialist ceramic makers in Valencia, Spain. Generations of knowledge in clay, glaze and firing give each piece its depth, warmth and distinctly Mediterranean character.
