Cultural Essence

Working at the intersection of fashion photography and classical portraiture, Nigerian photographer Lakin Ogunbanwo creates images that are at once intimate and enigmatic. Drawing on the visual traditions of African studio photography, his work explores identity through form, shadow and composition.
