Brushstroke Move: Tiles Collection

Hand-painted earthenware tiles in bold colour, from plains to stripes and graphic patterns.

Glossy surfaces shaped by the movement of the brush, with natural variation in tone and texture.

Designed to bring colour and rhythm to interior spaces.

The earthenware is fired twice. The first firing sets the body: dense, low-porosity, built to hold moisture and heat without moving. The second fixes the glaze: a soft gloss applied by hand, one tile at a time, in monochrome tones that deepen slightly in the kiln.

Colour is mixed and painted before glazing, not printed over it. It becomes part of the surface. It will not fade, chip, or sit on top of the tile like a skin.

Each tile is 1 cm thick. Lighter in profile than traditional terracotta, with a more contemporary finish. The thinness is deliberate. It brings the colour forward without the weight.

Available in 15 × 15 cm and 13 × 15 cm. Bespoke sizes on request at team@cardoonstudio.com.

No two tiles carry the same tone. That is not a flaw. It is the point.
